Freshmen are restricted with regard to parking on campus. Does this mean that freshmen living on campus don't bring cars, or do a significant number bring cars and make arrangments for off-campus parking?

Most freshman survive fine without a car on campus. They either get rides with an upper classman, or take the WooBus. If your child has extenuiating circumstances (usually medical related), they can park their car in the Gateway parking lot and take the shuttle from the main campus. D used the Snap shuttle quite a bit. She has friends who took the Knight Shuttle to the airport. During orientation, one of the options is for the students to take a trial ride on the WooBus, so they can get familiar with Worcester and the route.

Here is a list of transportation options for students.

There are limited off campus parking options available, especially during the winter months, when snow can block the many side streets around campus.
