CAS or Gallatin - Is One Easier to Get Into?

<p>Are the admission standards the same at both schools. My daughter is interested in learniing more about Gallatin, but it is so small she thinks maybe it is safer to apply to CAS since she really, really wants NYU.</p>

<p>Also, if you are in CAS, can you take courses in the other colleges? For instance she would like to take one of the courses in Steinhardt but as an elective.</p>

<p>Go with Gallatin, it is easier, and if you want to take a class at Steinhardt, you most likely will be able to, because you are in Gallatin.</p>
