CAS Reception and University Day: Difference??

is the a difference between the CAS Reception and University Day invites??

obviously sunday/saturday at the square is in another category, but what are the distinctions between the CAS reception and Univ Day?

or rather, are they the same thing?

??????????????

it's called "College of Arts and Science University Day Reception"...so i dunno what you're trying to ask...

actually mine just said University Reception Day, but on the top it mentions stern.

thats what i meant...haha CAS on the top

does NYU pay for this?

Mine's for Gallatin. I'm almost certain it means you've been accepted. Hooray! x)

can you give your stats?

GPA: 3.4, Decently hard courseload... 1 AP.
ACT: 31 (2100 SAT equivalent)
EC's: Class President, Shift Manager @ Work, Varsity Cross Country, Drama Letter (8 shows), Forensics State medalist, Junior Achievement Economic Ethics Teacher, S.A.D.D., Student of the Month, Faculty VIP...
Essays: Excellent
Recs: Teachers love me.
Location: Wisconsin. That may have helped for geographic diversity.

I'm so happy.

mine says "College of Arts and Science Reception"

no mention of "university day"....

The exact thing mine says is "Ali Marsepassi, Interim Dean of Gallatin School for Individualized Study, cordialyl invites you and your parents to big letters University Day Reception.. + date, info. With a campus map and directions on the inside of the card. I've read it too many times over and over. x)

so does NYU pay for this?

Nope. I wish. That's why my family can't go.. I can't even visit before I decide because of finances.

like, does NYU pay for travelling fees

ohh.....i see

not that i know of. i hoped they might since washu's paying for my otehr trip but to no avail...

Yeah the links to RSVP for University Day and CAS reception are different. So....is there a difference?

yeah besides for paying the paper and envelope, i highly doubt they would pay expenses for the trips for students.. that would cost loooadds of money..

my dad said no because of financing the trip (it isn't that bad since i'm in md but i've already gone) but my mom really wanted me to go so she talked my dad into it. i wished they did finance it.
