It’s been vaguely mentioned in certain threads that I’ve looked up, but I was just wondering if anyone knew what the threshold for summa cum laude in CAS usually is.

I’m not sure if this is how it works for every school but this is SMG’s policy:

“To qualify for summa cum laude, a student’s grade point average (GPA) must fall in the top five percent of the graduating class. The next 10 percent receive the designation magna cum laude, followed by the next 15 percent, who graduate cum laude.”

alectricity is correct, and i think that’s the case for all the colleges. i graduated in '09 from sargent, but for us i believe summa was around a 3.8 and magna was around a 3.6 while cum laude was around a 3.3. i think it was in the same ball park for cas. however, bu is becoming more and more reputable with better students going, so those figures could be slightly increased.
