Latin honors break points?

hey does anyone know where they would post (if they post) the latin honors GPA breakpoints? specifically for sargent college? i just want to know if it’s possible for me to move up one, otherwise im not going to stress my last semester.

btw, if you didn’t know it’s posted on studentlink in your academic summary and diploma & graduation info whether or not you received honors.

I don't think the break points are posted because honors are awarded as a percentage of each class (top 5% summa cum, next 10 magna cum, etc). It'd be changing all the time.

nvm i got it! they changed it, it is break points b/c they give people the opportunity to move up if they can in the last semester
break points are determined after your 7th semester based on percentages and then you can move up if possible

sargent's: suma is 3.76-4.00, magna is 3.57-3.75, and cum laude is 3.35-3.56
i think cas's is something like 3.81-4.00 for suma and 3.61-3.80 for magna

everyone's is so high compared to ours at SMG LOL:

Summa Cum Laude: 3.74 - 4.00
Magna Cum Laude: 3.49 - 3.73
Cum Laude: 3.32 - 3.48

i thought this bit was interesting though:

Remember, tentative Latin Honors for May 2009 graduates are awarded based on your cumulative GPA as of the end of the Fall 2008 semester. Any student raising his/her GPA into another category during Spring 2009 is awarded the higher honors. Any student dropping categories is awarded the honors s/he attained as of the Fall 2008 semester.

i didn't know they kept your fall latin honors even if you dropped in the spring...

as long as you don't drop below a 3.0, otherwise you won't get any honors
