CASE 2014 Hopefuls

Ugh!!! DS did receive notice that everything had been received…

“Application Status
We are unable to locate an application status associated with this Case Network ID. If you believe this to be in error, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admission.”

Considering how much the students are stressed out about finding out the result, this system is ridiculous. They should be prepared for this kind of heavy uses unless they email them directly bypassing their site. Why do they put kids under stress like this??? S got accepted to chicago so probably will not attend.

admitted! looked around 6:45ish

I’m not sure if i’m going yet. Depends on the money because Case is farther than a lot of the schools i applied to.

I’ve been trying since 5 to get on.

What a bunch of jackasses.

I know, i’ve been trying for two hours…

i get this every time: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error ‘80040e31’
Timeout expired

/admissions/application/statuscheck/istatusprc.asp, line 89

Anyone that is waiting for a result or people that already got in. Can u check “my.case.edu”?

I logged into that and i can see the case forums and all detailed information about CWRU and stuff. So if u got in can u see that stuff too? Or can anyone that applied to Case see that?

I’m still w8ing for my status so i dont know if i got in or not.

And these imbeciles are a technology university! They can"t even get a simple web page to work. Not to mention the most disorganized, disjointed, debacle of an open house I attended.

Well the hell with them. Cretins.

We may have figured out how to get an indirect decision…

We followed the “confirm your enrollment today” link and it says “Congratulations Schmoo’s Son! You’ve made the right decision…”

I don’t imagine that would work if he were not accepted…right?

http://admission.case.edu/newstudents/</a></p>

Thanks Schmoomcgoo. I guess i was admitted to because I was able to access the same thing. Hopefully :)

That worked. Didn’t even need to use an ID. Had name and ID number on page.

I got the same thing too! I guess this means I’m in? It had my name personalized.

Thanks!

THIS IS WHAT I GOT FROM Case Western Reserve University

Welcome to Case!

“NAME”, you’ve made the right choice! Whether you’ll live in our residence halls or commute from home, we’ll help you get settled in.

Now you will confirm your enrollment at Case by making your $500 non-refundable tuition deposit via credit card. Once you have completed this step you’ll be directed to the New Student Checklist where we’ll guide you through meal plan options, housing preferences, computer networking requirements and information about other campus programs.
Tuition Deposit

The non-refundable tuition deposit secures your spot at Case and will be applied to your first semester’s tuition and fees.

The website seems to keep one logged in for quite a while, so as long as you succeeded in getting that CaseID and password in (even though it didn’t ultimately get to the decision page), it seems to know who it’s talking to.

I don’t want this to be a false positive. I mean if I didn’t get in, it would really suck if i still got that message.

Did anyone else activate their case gmail account? :)

I activated my gmail account, actually I was able to like a month ago, when they first sent me my log on info.

where do u go to activate it?

My daughter activated hers shortly after she applied. She used it once already to get a student discount on Windows 7 when it was first released.
