Case Network ID System Email

Anyone else get emails saying this?

Dear KYLE:

University records indicate that you currently have the following active
affiliations, including associated network benefits, at Case Western
Reserve University. These affiliations will not be changing at this time:

Case Admitted Student Affiliation

University records indicate that your Case Prospective Student Affiliation
is scheduled to lapse on Jun-15-2006.

University records indicate that your Case Pre-Admitted Student Affiliation
is scheduled to lapse on Jun-15-2006.

After this date you may not be able to access Case network
related services routinely offered to members of this group including,
for example, Case email account privileges, Calendar, and VPN.

Case Affiliate Accounts are good for up to a year and must be renewed
to remain active. To have your Case Affiliate account renewed you
need to have the Case employer that sponsored you fill out the
Network ID Database Addition Request For Case Affiliates at:
<a href="https://softwarecenter.case.edu/id_request/id_request.php%5B/url%5D">https://softwarecenter.case.edu/id_request/id_request.php</a></p>

This automated announcement will be sent to you 30 days, 15 days,
and 7 days before your affiliation lapses. You will receive no other
notifications. If you have any further questions or concerns you may
contact help@case.edu or 368-HELP.

Is so what did you do about it? I mean, I don't have a Case Employer to fill it out for me...

I got the same email. All it is saying is that previously, you belonged to a certain group, or affiliation as they called it. Access to their network services is determined by role, or which group you belonged to you. If you have ever tried to access the software center unsucessfully, it is due to the fact that you do not have the sufficient privileges, and this is because you belong to the affiliation Pre-Admitted students. You wont have to worry about renewing your network ID, it should be done automatically. After the date provided, you will belong to another group (Current Students), which will give you access to other network services. Hope this helped,
