Case PPSP or Dartmouth?

I just found out today that I got into Case PPSP. I'm ecstatic, but also conflicted because I love Dartmouth too. I did visit Case, and its med school impressed me much more than the undergrad. Which one should I pick? Is Case med school really that good, or should I go to Dartmouth and hope to get into an even better medical school?

Congrats into getting into both

stupidestofthesmart...i got PPSP tooo, def go!!!!

Guaranteed Med, Top 20 school!!!!!

Um Dartmouth is NOTHING compared to ANY bs/md ESPECIALLY Case PPSP. There is no conflict. Dartmouth isn't even a great school for sciences and a horrible location.

BA/MD matrix

Harvard/Yale vs Brown PLME Toss up
Pton/Col/Penn/Stanford/MIT vs Brown PLME go Brown
Pton/.............................. vs NW/CWRU ba/md toss up
Dmouth/duke/gtown/cornell/jhu vs NW/CWRU take Ba/MD
PtonPennColumbia/Stan/Jhu vs any other ba/md take ivy

I guess I'm more worried about going to Case because their students don't seem very happy.. whereas Dartmouth gets very high ratings for student satisfaction, etc.

there is no surety they case will take in med school after dartmouth. There you will find best from harvard jhu penn etc applying for slots. you will have to maitain gpa around 3.8 and ton research. if u have now and goal is to be md then this is it.

your undergraduate experience will be starkly different at dartmouth vs. case, and your undergrad (IMO) is an important time to grow as a person. go to dimensions, ask good questions, and make an informed decision

I would pick case. infact, I would pick any bs/md over anything else (with the possible exception of harvard).

The clear choice here is Case PPSP. If you said Case VS Harvard, then it may have raised a couple of eyebrows.

final decision: dartmouth 2010.

How did you come to this conclusion? (although both choices are good ones)

there were a lot of factors..

i figure that if i have to maintain a 3.6 gpa anyway and get a high mcat score (i realize that you don't have to take it for ppsp but i would have for scholarships) i might as well work my ass off at dartmouth and get the liberal arts education i want (i like humanities very much). it was a very difficult choice but i am set on it. i think i will be happier overall there. when i visited case, i didn't get the sense that i'd fit in well.

i chose case ppsp over dartmouth... it wasn't a tough decision for me at all... i guess it's just personal choice

My D chose case ppsp over northwestern... we think it's a right choice and we support her

Ohio,

Northwestern HPME or regular undergrad? If the latter, your decision was a very wise and easy one.

Northwestern HPME or regular undergrad? It is a regular undergrad
