Hi guys…
I’m choosing between Case and 2 top universities in Australia (Uni of Melbourne and Uni of Sydney)
I want to major in Political Science and history
any suggestions?
thankssss XD
Case tends to emphasize science majors over those in the humanities and it is largely recognized as more of an engineering school than anything else. I’ve never heard of the Australian schools you listed, but I’ve been to Case multiple times and was never very impressed
Is this your only choice in the US? What’s your motivation for going to the US? Are you Australian or would Melbourne/Sydney be “abroad” for you too? What’s your parents’ budget and how much would each cost if you deduct only scholarships/grants?
@zvoidx Im still waiting on 3 other wl tho… bt i need to pay the enrollment deposit before 1/5 to secure my spot at case… so idk whether i should do that or not. I applied to Case cuz it was free and it didn’t require supp… I started to research more abt this uni after i got accepted… it seems that case has good reputation in science majors like what uve said… However I’m quite definite that I want to major in poli sci and history… so i have a quite diff time to choose
@MYOS1634 Im still waiting on 3 other wl tho… i didn’t apply to Safety unis in the US because I already had my conditional offers from those 2 top ones in Aus before i applied to the US. Im not australian but I have family members in Aus… with that being said… the cost of attending each is quite similar for international students like me… my family dsnt have financial difficulties so it dsnt rlly matter where i attend… hmmm even if i were to attend undergrad in Aus, i would still apply grad school in the US… However, if i were to attend Case, i ma transfer to other unis after completing freshman year at Case cuz its humanity majors arnt so great…
you must deposit somewhere by May 1st. You’ll hear back in May or June wrt Wl’s and odds are low unless you’re full pay.
unless you consider you “deposited” in Australia already and are just waiting for the US.
If you are full pay, DO update the universities with latest results/awards and indicate your parents are willing to fully fund your education.
humanities isn’t what case is known for but there’s a decent choice - explore a bit

@MYOS1634 thats why I’m still thinking whether i should choose case over Australia or not… are you a current student at Case?
