Cash Flow Statement?

Hello! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Does anyone have a link to a detailed cash flow statement that Yale provides? I was contacted a few days ago to fill one out, and they claimed to have sent an email, but no such email was sent.

I would really appreciate if someone could link me to Yale’s cash flow statement! I tried looking for it online but I couldn’t find any links to it; this is pretty urgent as I was supposed to have done it a few days ago BUT no email was sent.

Thanks so much!!

Bump.

^Is Yale asking you to report the cash flow statement of your parents?

Yes. Through some sort of a document? I Googled it and I found Harvard and MIT’s version, but I’d assume Yale has its own.

The reply above was directed to @4kidsdad . Apologies, I am still learning how to use this website.

Do your parents have a small business, and is it related to that? A cash flow statement is a fairly standard small business accounting report, pretty easily produced by accounting software like Quickbooks or their accountant.

@intparent .

No, they do not file taxes. I already filled out the Parent Nontax filing statement so I don’t know what this is for.

Thank you for any help you can give. I am thoroughly confused.

Call Yale. Perhaps Yale does not know that you already submitted the Non-Tax Filer Statements.

Or, you could submit the Harvard’s Parent Monthly Cash Flow Statement to Yale.

@4kidsdad : Thank you for the help. I will do so Monday(the next business day the office is open). I believe that they already know I submitted the statement, as the call I received stated that more financial information was needed(beyond the Taxfiling statement).

Thank you for your help and suggestions!

@4kidsdad : Wouldn’t it look bad to submit a document from a competitive peer school?

I would not submit Harvard’s. Just call them on Monday.

@intparent :

All right. Thank you and @4kidsdad for the advice :slight_smile:

They usually ask for a cash flow statement for one of two reasons. Either for a small business, or because they don’t have a clear understanding of what your family’s expenses, assets and resources are. They want a cash flow statement to better understand your family’s financial situation. What they want to see is a list of monthly expenses and a detailed explanation of how those expenses are met. For example: Rent $1000, Insurance $1000, Food $500, Car $500., Credit card payments $500 Total Expenses $3500. Expenses met by: Salary $1000 Credit Card Borrowing $1000, Withdrawal from savings $1500 = $3500.
