Castilian or On campus housing?

I think Dobie is the best off campus housing!

But I think offcampus is better than oncampus…
Especially if you havnt applied housing! Jester is gross and although you get a better dorm experience but you will make tons of friends at offcampus dorms too!

Oh and off campus dorms, especially Dobie, is a lot more spacious. So you actually have room to have friends over and chill

Neither. The best kept secret is College Houses. I found them when googling something like: “affordable student housing UT Austin”. Not new. Certainly not “trendy”.

Depends on what you want financially, socially, location wise, etc.

For a freshman, on campus housing is great. You can eat around campus with your meal plan, with friends from class - in Jester or Kinsolving or at the Littlefield Patio Cafe, whatever is close or convenient to the class you have before lunch or before dinner. Good for meeting people and good for getting together with people. I really think living on campus is the best if you can get on campus housing. It’s a shame they don’t have enough rooms for all of the freshmen.
