My son got the Honors Program info in the mail after the acceptance letter; however, I have some questions about the Honors Program. Can anyone tell if you must take classes in all the areas listed or does a student have choices in which honors classes he/she takes? I am concerned that if he is in engineering that all the additional honors classes will be too much.
@GardenBeeGirl I was accepted as well, and similarly, as a nursing major all the honors courses may not all fit in. Students in any college other than Arts and Sciences, so nursing, engineering, architecture, business, music, and social service, can build their own honors track called “honors in liberal studies.” There is some info about it here http://honors.cua.edu/Current-Students/firstyear.cfm
My D was accepted into CUA in the nursing major. She rec’d a nice merit and is seriously considering. Also in at
PITT (only one without any merit), Fairfield, Scranton, Seton Hall, LaSalle and waiting for Villanova. Anyone else 2020 nursing?
@mcgon4 I am! I was accepted to Boston College, Villanova, Scranton, CUA, Seton Hall, Xavier, Case Western Reserve University, Saint Louis University, and Creighton University all with significant merit scholarships(except Nova because they did not release merit aid yet and BC because they do not give merit aid). The most came from CUA and Case Western. Still waiting to hear from UVA and UPenn. Congrats to your daughter! I am also strongly considering CUA
Is anyone considering or planning on going to the accepted students event on Feb 20th? I can’t seem to find much info on it, not sure if that will be coming later.
Thanks for the link to the honors info. Good to know that he can pick a track and it’s 4 classes. Helpful to know.
Does anyone know when music department scholarships are offered?
Those who were selected for music scholarships for the Class of 2020 were notified the week of March 21.
