<p>I like the Dartmouth board...we get past the numbers, straight to the people....for better or worse.</p>

<p>oh, don't read into that at all. I'm plenty black, but I grew up in an exclusive private school, followed by the suburbs. I don't use colloquisms like "brotha" much.</p>

<p>I'm going to miss all of you. On April 1 admitted students will have access to their own discussion board through Dartmouth (you will be given an ID # and Password. You will be listed under your real names I woun't be suprised if someone started a thread about who was on CC.) Last year someone set up a group on Yahooo. Once you are in Dartmouth's own discussion group, you'll probably discuss some of the same things you dicuss now, how to identify each other to meet up at Dimensions, what kind of computer you should get, who you should take for writing and coordinate your DOC trips. </p>
<p>My daughter thought the facebook was a good thing because of the newness of it all and it was limited to college students and it was a way for her to keep up with her friends who went to other schools. Once they get to school they go Blitz crazy (my gosh they even blitz during breaks). </p>
<p>I am so excited for all of you and the journeys which you are about to embark on whether it is at Dartmouth or some where else. Hope fully you will check back in on CC (I'll check back to in between classes- how else will I know if Babybird is going to gym?) and share your freshmen experience with the prospective 2010 class. so check back in yest to yell at "mom" for a moment.</p>

<p>and i'm sure that we'll be the types of students who'll check back to CC, since we have all benefitted so much from the people who are currently at these schools, or graduates, or parents of either of the former, and want to help as much as we have been helped.</p>
