Anyone have any experiences with this? Any success stories to share? I am interested in this path, starting cc this fall

A friend of mine went from CC —> UCI ----> UCSF so it can be done. Just know that they don’t look at CC students as favorably as 4-year university students so you must make up for it with a high GPA at the university you transfer to an a high MCAT score.

A girl I shared classes with last year got accepted to UCLA and UCB from a CCC. She was an english major, now pre-Med at Cal.

^They’re discussing med school not undergrad.

Um, I don’t think it’s CCC students they look upon unfavorably, but CCC courses. If life’s hardships lands you in a CCC instead of a 4-year, obviously your only option is to take CCC courses, including some overlapping med school pre-reqs, and transfer to a 4-year (duh). It’s understandable. But if you’re already at a 4-year university like a UC, and decide to take some med school/transfer pre-reqs at a CCC for an “easy A,” that’s what will work against you. I’ve been told by UCI pre-health advisors never to do that LOL (unless it’s something like Anatomy lab, which UCI does not offer for w/e strange reason. SERIOUSLY? It’s baffling).

It’s possible. Know a girl in Harvard med school right now. All pre reqs done at a cc.
