I've seen several people ask questions about how to self-study and what exams and such, and we often get a lot of separate threads with the same stuff. I think it would be neat if we could have a classroom just to discuss self-studied topics. I tried this last year but a thread is messy to keep track of and not very organized. There's a website called wiziq.com where we can hold a virtual classroom and pretty much learn/discuss AP exam topics.

I'm done with AP exams, but I'm going to be working on some online education stuff, and I'd like to hold such a classroom to try out some features and see how different people respond to different techniques.

Thus, I want to hold a classroom for the AP Calculus AB & BC Exams. I received a 5 on both of them, and last year I also tutored AP calc students in school. I'm very comfortable with the material, and I would like to hold a classroom for that. We would meet once a week, for one hour max, and we'll just cover different topics. I'll talk about some exam specific strategy, give some problems, and we can discuss it as it goes. I think it would be a much more organized way of self studying, and hopefully we can expand this to other people covering other subjects and eventually having an online CC thing going for the community.

If you're interested, please post here. My only requirement is that you have a good grasp of pre-calc and below. We'll only meet one hour a week but you can post questions in this thread and others can reply. Please sign up only if you're committed.

If you guys have done BC already, then I’m sure I could find some interesting/hard problems so that you learn the material more because AP Calc is pretty superficial.

I was thinking of starting near the end of the summer.

This is just a suggestion, but perhaps you could also go into some of the integration techniques that the AP exam chooses to ignore - for example, trigonometric substitution.
