My friend and I have been discussing this, we are both risign sophmores, and we know junior year, who the teacher will be for Calc AB, we already had him, and disliked his teaching style. Would it be bad, and not look as good, to take it at the community college, would it badly affect our gpa's? (on a 5.0 scale)...

Please give me advice

I've heard that colleges will wonder why you didn't take the course at your high school if you had the chance, and instead took it at a CC. I think it'd be best just to take it at your hs. Plenty of students dislike a teacher's style, but they suck it up and take the class anyway. You're going to have to deal with this in college, too, so get used to it now.

ok...what do other people think?

I agree with Kyledavid80, colleges will wonder about this. If they suspect the true reason that you don't like the teacher, while it may be understandable, colleges usually like people who are willing to cooperate with faculty regardless, and so that would look negatively.

And in your HS you might not be able to take more advanced courses if you dont take that one.

In general, I think AP courses are more valuable than CC courses. That is just my bias, but everyone in the AP class is in the top of there high school, while it's a mixed bag at CC, and will be graded accordingly.

okay thanks
