CC members willing to tailgate HOMECOMING

I can bring ice in my cooler, since you’re bringing meat and condiments in yours. Nametags are a great idea. I’m sure my DS will join us too. Do the kids need to get their own tickets? I kind of assumed they would sit with us.

The kids all sit in the student section, usually. Just let us know what we can bring.

Max is right they sit in the student section. Our attention is to get seats right next to them…it will be behind the field goal or @10 yd line.

The kids will go online through UMD and get their seats online for themselves. Might be wrong, but I think it is a 1st come 1st serve situation.

Trust me DS would sit with us, but hate us for making him to do it, thus DS will not be with us, our DD who will be a hs SR and our DS2, a hs soph will be with us! DS2 will be wearing the terp hat!

Anyone (hint hint MAX) want to volunteer to bring paper products, plates, cups and napkins?

absolutely, and will bring some drinks as well. need anything else?

Time to start making decisions about the fb tickets. Best suggestions for tickets. We have bought through stubhub, the seats and prices were great.
I am finding tickets for sec 7 and 10. I am linking this site because they have the seating chart for Byrd it is not for ticket purposes, but I do feel we need to start addresing it. DD shocked me because she does not want to go, but UVA is on her lsit of apps.

[Byrd Stadium Seating Chart, Byrd Stadium Tickets, Byrd Stadium Maps](http://www.gotickets.com/venues/md/byrd_stadium.php)

7 is to the left of the student section and as close to the visitor side as you can be, 10 is behind the field goal, but def UMD side!

Kick off is 11:59, so bright and early here we come. I guess the gritas are out and Baileys and Coffee are in ;)

Can we agree majority wins on the section if both are available. Tickets are running in the below 30 range. I am contemplating paying $20 for a regents parking pass, is it worth it. It says 1 block from the stadium, but if you are from NY, 1 block could be a mile!

What’s the date of the game? Is it the week AFTER move-in weekend? … :(

Oct 17th against UVA

ANYBODY know of other sites besides stub hub? Checked UMD, but no tickets are availbale yet including students.

Oh, that’s right, one week AFTER Family Weekend. If I’d know better we would have waited and one the next weekend, but we already have hotel and air. :(

I’d vote for section 7…better view of the game, and we can out-scream those UVA fans! But, I’ll go with the flow…

Tell me again what the general plan is… slumber party Saturday night after the game? We may plan to get there Thursday p.m.(bringing whatever doesn’t fit for the move-in drive in August), and take the astrokids to dinner Friday night. We’ll probably stay Friday night in Greenbelt, if most of the festivities will be on Saturday. Then we’re still “in” for the tailgating, the game, and whatever else may come up!!! Go Terps!!!

As a Maryland alumni, parent, and diehard Terp fan, let me give you some information for the planned tailgate for the Virginia game. First single game tickets for the general public go on sale Aug. 22nd. Right now only season ticket holders and Terrapin Club members can buy single game tickets. So you might want to wait until then to see what kind of tickets you can get from Maryland before purchasing from StubHub. They do offer group sales so you might want to call and check into that. We probably won’t know the game time until a couple weeks before the game. Game time is determined by the TV gods so it will depend on how the team is doing. People use to say that no matter what the homecoming game would be early but they were proven wrong a couple years ago when the homecoming game had an evening kickoff time for TV.
Lot 1 behind Cole is not a pay lot, in fact it is a Terrapin Club member lot with members that give a very high donation. There are some pay lots. The last few years Regents Drive has been both a pay lot and Terrapin Club member lot. It has been our tailgate home. It is probably the best kept parking secret. You are not allowed to grill in the garage but if you park on the bottom level there is a shaded, grassy area there that is great for tailgating. When it rains, we eat inside and sit the grills right outside the garage. It is about a 10 minute walk to the stadium.
If you park in RGD, we might run into you.
