I cut and paste, I made notes, and I stored them in the draft folder. Many choice tidbits for later consumption and usage. I put them in the CC draft folder starting this summer (three months ago). The count on the folder was 3 post, but reflect hours of searching and researching subject matter. Now they are gone. The folder count remains 3, but when you open the folder the content has disappeared. What’s with that?
Hi there…sorry for the startling discovery. Were they in there yesterday? I have 37 items in the Draft folder that are primarily replies I started, but never finished. I am seeing them all in there when I look now. Another one of these random errors that could be related to some other odd behaviors reported by a few members.
Anyway, I don’t believe there is a shelf-life on Drafts, as I have one from late January.
Let me ask about your issue, since it has similar characteristics to a few other random (possibly caching) errors.
I update a few notes about two weeks ago. I’d seen them posted as drafts before I logged off. I don’t view them everytime I log in but when I am in forum mode I recall noting the count. Today I logged in and want to reference a note, I saw the count on post was 3 and everything appeared normal until I opened the Draft folder. It was empty. I went in and went out, the 3 count did not change but folder remained empty. I exclaim a pejorative remark aloud. Logged out logged in and select forums and the Draft folder and 3 count disappeared. At that point I notified the forum on my OP.
Thanks for the added detail (especially the “pejorative remark aloud”). I have communicated this issue, along with other somewhat similar behaviors seen by other members. I can’t imagine the database entries for these were wiped out, so at this point I’m leaning toward this aggressive caching I’ve mentioned before. I hope we can have more concrete answers about this, though.
