Has anyone ever had an essay stolen on CC?

Or at least do you suspect that it was stolen? What happened? ...I can PM you what just went down if you have any "personal advice".

In all honesty I am terrified.

Not a student but I think it’s a really bad idea to post or share your essays with anyone you don’t personally know and trust…especially on the internet. I know there are websites/places you can buy essays/papers…what if yours ended up there? Ewwww.

There tends to be a little oversharing and unearned trust on the internet. Drives me crazy when family posts where they are on FB…sorry, off topic.

I hope this didn’t happen to you but if it did, hopefully someone can give you some good advice. Good luck!

Probably only if they sent it to someone with less than 100 posts, in which case they had it coming…

PM me the situation.

Don’t send it to anyone who doesn’t have a lot of posts and isn’t already in college (thus has no motivation to use it as their own).

For example: Though I’m occasionally a willing essay reader, and done with college admissions, my post count is rather low, and my join date is fairly recent, so I wouldn’t recommend me.

I’ve heard of it happening, but not on CC.

PM me what happened.

Moderator’s Note:

DO NOT post any personal info or essays that you wouldn’t want plastered on the front page of every newspaper in the country. We get multiple requests every day to delete posts when people realize they have “over shared.” WE DO NOT DELETE POSTS ON REQUEST! Besides, I have been told that even deleted info is cached on the internet, so it is always there.

Be smart, guys!!

I have also heard of it happening, but not specifically on CC. You can PM me the situation if you want

interested in hearing what happened, PM the situation.

don’t PM JGator -_-
