CC summer before transferring?

I’m switching to a new school next fall, but I’m missing a few requirements to be on track to start as a junior. I can’t fulfill these at my current school this spring. I’m thinking about taking a few classes over the summer at my local CC. I think I can take three (nine credits). That would really help me be on track to start as a junior, and not have to spend another full semester picking up requirements.

However, I would be enrolling at the CC with the full intention of just taking a few classes and then leaving. Is that frowned upon?

Also, would I have to notify my new school? And then would all of my classes be evaluated for transfer credit by the CC and then by the new school? Or could I just take classes at the CC and not have them evaluate anything?

I know I’ll have to resolve a lot of these questions by calling the schools, but I was just wondering if there are any sort of general rules that usually come into play in this type of situation.

I’m also looking into another option - would it be possible to enroll in the CC during the spring semester and do only online classes?

Is there some sort of regulation against being enrolled in two schools at once? There has to be, right…? At least for aid reasons.

Alright, I think I’ve worked it all out. I’ll be a “visiting student” on full pay, no aid. Which is still so much cheaper than where I’m at.

Nevermind this thread.
