I have probably read every discussion there is on this topic. But I need help making a decision. I have been studying French for about three years now. Currently looking into transferring by the Fall of 2019 which isn’t far off. I know that transferring credits is nearly impossible for any other college except American University of Paris. I have put that school on my list but I have come up with another option. What if I spend a year studying at the Alliance Francaise in France, in preparation of studying at a French University? Or at a universities language program. I think this would be a great way to learn the language and another way to eventually attend a university there. I have a meeting with a transfer counselor in May but I thought I’d get some advice here.
Yes you could study in an intensive language program and then apply for university admission. The people at Alliance Francaise should be able to advise you. So should the Education Officer at the French Consulate closest to where you live.
