<p>Has any one on CollegeConfidential transferred (or know of someone who transferred) to an ivy league school from a CC and if so what were your/their stats?</p>

<p>i don't know of any that did it from a cc; i've never even heard of anybody yet.. but i'm sure there are some people out there.</p>

<p>The reason I am wondering about this is because I have heard alot about top schools trying to bring in more CC students and at the time it inspired me, but now that i have kind of looked deeper into it I am realizing that it very rarely happens and those who do go from a CC are probably students who had a chance of getting in as a freshman.</p>
<p>Thats the same thing I heard. Those that do get accepted from CCs are those that would likely have gotten in from high school.</p>
<p>I know of a guy who got into Yale straight out of high school.
He decided that he wanted to attend a CCC to save some money.
In the end, he ended up transferring to UCSD.
What are the odds?</p>
<p>Hey all I just transferred to Cornell University as a junior after attending Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY. It is definitely possible, do not give up on it and stay determined that's what I did and it all came through for me.(and just as an added bonus I have no loans to repay for my first two years since I went to a CC) Good Luck!</p>
