CC Transfer to CUNY

Hey there everyone!

I've been searching and reading through these boards for the past few days and everyone seemed really helpful so I figured I'd make an account and ask a few questions I have.

On October 15th I submitted my applications to John Jay and Baruch (in that order) and I know they should have all my transcripts and required documents as of now, so now I'm just waiting for them to make a decision.
After reading a lot about transferring to CUNY schools I realize that if I'm accepted to John Jay, Baruch will not receive my application and that's all in well because that's the school I really, really want o get into.
My question are,
1. How long do you normally have to wait for a Spring transfer acceptance?
2. I put my major in as Philosophy. Will that make a difference on my acceptance since it's a relatively unpopular major there?
3. And also, people who have been accepted to John Jay, what was your SAT Scores, GPA (not high school, really, but just college)?
I'm scared I won't be accepted due to my 2.4 GPA I currently have right now. (Even though it should be about a 2.7-2.9 when I'm done with the semester). I got 1500 on my SAT's, by the way.

Thank you!!

I got accepted to Hunter today! You should know soon.

Thank you, I sure hope so! Congrats, by the way.

bump! I’d love to hear some more feedback.

bump, again!

4-5 weeks after you have fully completed and submit all supporting documents.

Doub’t it.

How many credits do you have? Ounce you hit pass 30+ college credits, CUNY will weight high school and SAT records a lot less.

It’s already been two weeks so hopefully I don’t have to wait much longer and I do have over 30 credits to transfer. And thank you for the links even though I’ve already check them out. I was just hoping for someone’s personal experience and input.

Just noticed that you applied on October 15th. The deadline for Hunter, Baruch and John Jay for Spring transfer was September 15th. You are being considered on a rolling basis.

Yes, I’m aware of that.
