Anyone got admission as transfer from CUNY?

I have friends who applied for transfer and are really stuck because CUNY is so slow....however im trying to get out of CUNY, may i ask why you would want to transfer in? financial purposes?

Yeah I got accepted to Baruch about 2 weeks ago.

Applying to Baruch from Binghamton: closer to home, money, diversity.

Yo,
What's your transfer GPA ?

3.7-4.0 ish. I wish I could apply for Baruch or Hunter Honors though...

Mine was a 3.8 for Baruch.

I'm ****ed about CUNY. Nothing has happened so far. Also maybe there is someone who can explain me their admission process.

Application was send Oct. 1, 2008 for 4 different colleges. Now they told me Hunter & Queens College already closed admission and it looks like they did not transfer it to the others, because they asked if I like the application reviewed at Brookly. Sure, so the forwarded it there yesterday. I should expect more information in the new year.

Are they crazy? I have to relocate from oversea and I'm not a Donald Trump to afford rent for an appartment and maybe get denied. Whats going on there?

I believe Cuny colleges in new york are way better than Sunys just cuz they cheaper, you get more diversity . get money and near home, those who are rich and can afford for a Suny then they lucky and good for them that they are reaching glory

You can't possibly be serious. The day SUNYs are equated with wealth is a sad day. I'd take my old SUNY tuition over the $45,000/year I'm paying now, any day.

What?!
We need high GPA like 3.7-4.0 to get into Baruch(for the business school)?
It seems really tough=.='

bump......

SUNYs will have deficits in the next couple years because of the economic situation the country is going thru

they want to raise tuition money in all SUNYs that's a hell no to SUNY and a hell yeah to CUNY lol

I got into Baruch College this past weekend

I kinda wanted to go away to school, but I like NYC a lot and the Zicklin School of Business seems great and there is so much diversity and opportunities in Manhattan.. also the vertical campus is beautiful

did they call you or it was CUNY who informed you about it? you applied directly to college or through the CUNY system? as transfer?

which college is the most beautiful city college or baruch or brooklyn colelge?

koedog, would you mind to tell me your overall GPA?
just for reference

3.59 gpa 27.5 units

I logged into the CUNY Portal and my acceptance was in there.

My GPA through out high school has been from like 84-89
