CC Transfer

<p>I had to take one year off of school after high school in order to get a good financial base for college. As of right now I plan on attending my local CC, Moraine Valley, this summer in order to get some gen eds out of the way.</p>

<p>As I have recently discovered, due to my AP credits, I am actually able to finish an Associate's program in Science within one year. I would go directly to university if I could but that is sadly not an option for me right now.</p>

<p>My question is: I am planning on going Pre-Med, thinking of trying to go to either Loyola University or the University of Chicago. With institutions such as these. Is there any benefit to transferring in with an Associates degree in Science from a CC?</p>

<p>As far as acceptance to and paying for these Universities is a question for another thread.</p>

<p>I would say that thinking about your long-term goals would be a better idea.</p>

<p>All med schools care about is that you complete their required coursework, they won’t care if you have an AA degree or just transferred w/o the degree.</p>
