CCM (University of Cincinnati- College Conservatory of Music) vs. Theatre School at DePaul

Hey everybody! I’m looking to pursue a BFA in Stage Management. I have narrowed my acceptances down to two choices. but I’m stuck between CCM and the Theatre School at DePaul. Can anyone speak to the quality of these two programs especially in regards to technical theater? Is there anything I should know about either of these schools that isn’t on a website or brochure? Even if you don’t know anything about them as schools for technical theater, I would really appreciate any opinions you have especially if you are a current student, parent, or alum. Thank you so much for your opinions!

I am sorry that I don’t know anything about either program, but I would consider going to the one that will leave you in less debt when you graduate. If money is no object then I would go where you feel you will get the most opportunity to do your craft. Big fish in little pond

Are you interested in a career in Chicago theater? DePaul’s close ties with the local theater community is a plus. On the flip side, I believe CCM has musical theater, if stage managing musicals interests you.
