<p>Is CECS a better major than CS? I really like both programs, but I don't know if CECS is worth it. </p>
<p>It’s all personal preference.</p>
<p>CECS is Comp Sci and Comp Engineering, which means you get a lot of the software education as well as some hardware. Engineering is hardware, science is software. If you take CS, then it’ll be primarily software design and implementation, which isn’t a bad thing alone; it’s just a lot more emphasis on the software. So it’s all up to you.</p>
