CEEB Codes for Homeschoolers?

Does anyone know the code for Pennsylvania home school students? Or are there no CEEB codes for homeschoolers?

I believe the CEEB code for homeschoolers in any state is 970000. That is the one we used, anyway.

Yes, 970000 for all homeschoolers.

Yes, it's called Home School Clearing House 970000

Just to throw this in... The code for the PSAT is 99xx99 where xx is the first two digits of your public school's code (state code). For example, in SC where I live, all public school's PSAT codes start with 41. (ex: 410887) So SC's homeschool code is 994199. We had trouble with this and I almost lost the NMS because of putting down the wrong code, so be aware!

what about this? I was looking for the homeschool CEEB code and I ran into this page this morning.

<a href="http://inquiry.embark.com/SNHU/HS_Search/fieldchooser.asp?FID=HSCEEB%5B/url%5D">http://inquiry.embark.com/SNHU/HS_Search/fieldchooser.asp?FID=HSCEEB</a></p>

I put 970000 on my app to Rice, but now that I saw this I am feeling doubtful.

Can anyone please help clarify the problem? thanks

When I applied to Oklahoma, they told me to put a different number, too. I think it might be college-determined for admissions purposes.

bump.........................

use 97000 if they don't have anything else, but if they specifically mention a different code use that. I always search for home school in the search forms they have.

For California: The UC Pathways (on-line) application automatically put in 999900-2 when the "homeschool" box was checked. I believe the local CC used the same number...

the 99xx99 code is specifically for PSAT takers, and the 970000 code is for some Christian School in NY. The unversal CEEB code for homeschoolers is: 989999. visit this Washington U page for a complete listing:

CEEB Codes (400001 through 1000000)

what??? ^ are you serious? i've always used 970000 except for psats

I just checked my son's CA - it says 999999, which we got from the table lookup. For his AP exams he has 990598, which he was told to use the the councelor at the site.

I wouldnt worry. They will get the idea if you use something that looks homeschoolish. It isnt terrily important, since they are not trying to id the school to see if any other applicants come from it, or to find the school description.

There is no indication that the table on the U of Washington site is current or carefully checked.
