<p>so the other day i pulled out my cell phone in class and got it taken away, lack of judgement on my part i know. i got 1 day of in school suspension and now im worried about my chances for colleges like Stanford, UCLA, Davis, and University of Washington.</p>
<p>im a good student academically (all A's) and im a good athlete. will this little suspension ruin my chances of getting into college?</p>

<p>I don’t think the colleges care about such a suspension. What they care about are students suspended for cheating, drugs, booze, theft, assault and similar things…</p>
<p>Check to see if it actually gets reported/sent out to schools on your midyear. I don’t see why they would suspend you, maybe confiscate it at most. Pretty stupid, but follow up on your guidance to see if it goes on permanent. The phone incident probably had no effect on you, but the suspension might make a dent.</p>
