Will this hurt my chances badly?

Okay, so during my freshman year (current junior) I didnt really have any aspirations to go to an Ivy or upper-tier university, and was stupid about my behavior sometimes. And one time, I was really stupid, and ended up texting some pretty hurtful things to a random cellphone number, and this resulted in a two-day out of school suspension. I was completely remorseful and my principle and teacher could tell, however it was an unfortunate situation and consequences had to be enacted. I want to know how bad this is going to hurt when trying to apply for colleges this fall and winter. I am a really conscientious and respectful student and this was a rare and isolated lapse of judgement on my part during my freshman year, and I hope it wont be awfully negative. What do you think?

Bump…

Bump, any reply please, this really matters

I wouldn’t know but I can’t imagine that a small mistake you made 2 years ago would really matter to a college. Just try to explain it in your application.
