Hi all,

I’m a transfer student who recently got accepted to both of these great schools. I only have financial aid from Hendrix thus far, and it was very generous, but Centre seems to have a great FA policy as well so I sort of anticipate receiving something similar. I’m visiting Hendrix on Monday but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to afford to visit Centre as well. Has anybody here been to both of these schools or heard anything which might help me differentiate between the two? I’d really appreciate your help! I’m a theatre major, by the way, who would like to double major in English. Thanks!!

My daughter visited both and chose Centre (Sociology/anthropology major). I liked Hendrix --beautiful campus, no sorority/fraternity structure, but far from home. I know that Lyons (also in Arkansas) has a good theatre arts major though as one of her friends is graduating from there this spring and has interned in NY during her 4 years.

Thanks for your response! I visited Hendrix over the weekend and wasn't completely sold. Was there another reason your daughter chose Centre other than the distance from home?

I'm a transfer student as well and wanna major in English as well. I hear professors at Centre are great! You should also check out Princeton Review's Professors Get High Marks where Centre is on the list! Good luck!!
