<p>While browsing through the list current faculty proposals, I didn't see many projects that interested me. So I don't want to list my three preferences and be matched up with a project I don't want to do. I also noticed that we're encouraged to seek out our own mentors in areas we're interested in. How would I go about that? I plan to email professors, but what should I include? </p>

I got an email from Carlos something who said that the online signup isn’t working and you should just email him directly to ensure that your name gets put down with the project you want.
I think he was the one who originally sent us the emails
