I know that this might be a stupid question or it has already been answered somewhere else.

Do your CFA scores have to be submitted, before your application can be reviewed by the board? Or is the CFA seperate like DODMERB and nominations.

I have everything completed online except for the CFA and didn’t know whether I should take my test next weekend so it can be completed or wait a few weeks while I train. I have already taken in at USMA SLS and passed, but I still want to improve my scores.

Thanks as always!

How I understood it, yout file will stay incomplete until the CFA scores have been submitted.

In most cases, it will be incomplete until the CFA is submitted, but if you are a recruited athlete or everything else is literally OFF THE CHARTS, then it may be reviewed sooner. I got a LOA before I even took the CFA, but I was recruited for tennis

thanks, ya im not a recruited athlete though…if i retake it I am only looking at improving a few more pullups, situps, and maybe I can chop :30 off my mile time.

do you think its worth the wait or should i just use my summer seminar scores so I can have it all completed much sooner?

Waiting really isn’t going to hurt you much, and if you think you can improve in a couple weeks to a month, then I would wait. They don’t even start reviewing until October if i remember right. (I think I submitted the last think I needed in mid to late september and got my LOA on October 11)

Summer Seminar CFA does NOT count, so you need to retake it…

And sometimes all it takes is missing piece to get accepted, so simply turn it in when YOU feel comfortable, (did it mid December, appt. in Jan) ;)

I took the CFA at USMA’s summer seminar, but I think I will just wait then
