CGPA for entry-level position, Background check

Hi all, I am a recently graduate student and I have a job I applied to and which I got a job offer for, contingent upon background check. I really love the company and although I wasn't asked by the company to provide my CGPA for the position, I already had my CGPA written on my resume. The problem is that my real CGPA is 3.563 but I had approximated it to 3.6 and then wrote a CGPA of 3.6 on my resume out of ignorance. The issue is that I am afraid that they may not give me the job offer if after their background check with my university they realize that my CGPA is 3.563 and I wrote a CGPA of 3.6 on my resume?

Please I need advice, opinions and thoughts on this if anyone has experience/knowledge on something like this thanks?

I wouldn’t worry about it. I don’t think any employer would care if it is 3.563 or 3.6.

@Oldfort: Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts on the matter, I really appreciate

You are always supposed to report your GPA as it is reported on your transcript, so when you approximate, you run the risk of getting into trouble with career services (i.e. they may not let you use them in the future), but it would be awfully severe for a company to renege an offer over 0.037 GPA points.

Background checks are generally just trying to verify that you actually graduated the school you claimed to graduate from and that you have a clean criminal record.
