Also, my ACT essay was rather low. However my SAT essay was relatively high. Will colleges acknowledge that I am still a strong writer. The ACT prompt was about using GPS tracking on children. It was not very “writer-friendly” in my perspective. Do colleges focus heavily upon the ACT essay score? Also, should I submit both tests or just one of them? Thank you

I think you have a great shot at BU. You’re numbers are great and have great extra curriculars. The Act score seems good despite saying you have a low essay. I think they will value your admissions essay more.

I have to agree with andy, you have a great chance at BU. Just make sure you write a decent essay and you should be in.

make sure you express your interests and passions well in your essays. they want passionate people, so if you can convince them you really love whatever it is you intend to do/study, you have a great chance!

Your ACT score would look better, but both are fine. Don’t worry about your ACT essay. Out of curiosity, what’s with your GPA?

My GPA is high because I seem to be a very strong test taker in the classroom. However, for some reason I was not getting the marks I was expecting on my standardized tests. I am content with a 30, but I expected much higher.

^same with me with the school GPA and test scores. Guess it’s a New York thing haha. I went to a BU admissions meeting and they basically said they care more about grades in correlation with course rigor than standardized tests. So you seem fine and in their test score ranges.
