You stand out a little because while your GPA is low you shine bright everywhere else. However this may make you seem to come off as just lazy and not having good work ethic. Definitely have your counselor explain the test anxiety in the rec. You have a pretty good chance at Michigan, UNC, Emory, and Carnegie

Chance me please i’m in a similar situation?

In Jazz band, your sports or your other EC’s, did you have any leaderships positions? Even if you didn’t, sticking to the track team even with that hammy injury seems like a good display of teamsmanship. If you were able to elaborate that a little to colleges it might help your chances.

My only leadership was starting the Asian Culture Club in my school which is 95% Caucasian. I don’t like saying that it is “Asian Culture Club” on my applications though, I normally just say that I started the first and only ethnic club.

Anyways, I was thinking of applying EDII to CMU.

Do you guys think that this is a good idea? I picked CMU because I think I have a decent chance that will be improved by appyling EDII. Also, if I am not mistaken, CMU will be the cheapest on my list. Cost is a factor, and CMU’s estimate was around 14-15k a year total. Temple and Drexel could be cheaper with scholarships, but CMU provides a much better education and job opportunities.

I’m not sure if Emory is cheaper, I’ll have to go through the net price calculator with my parents.

I prefer U Mich over CMU (social aspect, fun, ect…), and I think I have a decent chance at U Mich, but I will most likely be unable to afford it.
