Hey all. I'm currently attending a community college in Austin, TX, in hopes to transfer to a four year university soon here. I want to major in urban studies/public admin and policy, and then go onto grad school for urban planning/public policy, something I'm extremely passionate about. Because I waited a few years after high school to go to college, community college was really the only choice, but because I waited, I'm now a great student, and would like to know my chances of successfully transferring into some schools. Here are my stats.

Female, 21 years old
GPA: 4.0 (I allot one B per semester just in case, and it hasn't happened yet so far)

In the Honors Program at my school.

ECs: Student Government Association, member of Phi Theta Kappa, starting my own group, Students for Smart Growth and Urban Improvement. I'm also on a student's council where we get to work with the mayor of Austin on city issues that will affect the students. Attended the Clinton Global Initiative Conference this year held at UT.

Volunteer Work: Salvation Army, the Autism Society of America

Other Tidbits: I'm the first person to attend college in my family.

I have dyscalculia, in simple terms it's a bit like being dyslexic in math. I've always struggled with it and math as a whole, and now that I'm in college, I've been able to pass all math courses with an A regardless of my setback (I only mention this because I was throwing around the idea of mentioning it in an essay).

I am a GREAT essay writer. Kinda funny how that works out from the former subject mentioned. ;)

(Probably) Won't need Financial Aid.

The current schools I'm looking at are:

University of Texas-Austin (since it's close)
University of Georgia
UCLA

Not too sure of any other ones out there. Anyone willing to give me some ideas on other schools? I appreciate it. :)
