chance a confused foreigner!

I've grown up hearing about Yale, but since I have little exposure to the American college system, I don't know if it's even worth applying. I hear you need to be extraordinary to get an acceptance, but I guess HOW extraordinary is the question.

ANY comments (however brutal) are welcome. I really don't know what I'm doing because my school has an awful guidance program. SO bad- as in I didnt find out what ED was until October 15- too late for me to write a thoughtful application anywhere.

AGAIN, I WILL CHANCE BACK :)

Ordinarily, your 3.6 UW GPA would crush your chances, but your high rank at your school makes up for it (maybe your curriculum is VERY challenging). I would say that you have an above average chance since you are an immigrant. Just out of curiousity, at what age did you learn how to speak English? (this could also play a part in your immigration status for applying to Yale)

I’ve always gone to international schools, so I learned to read and write in first grade both English and Italian (this is when I wa in Siena). The same goes for my elementary/ middle school in France.
I really never “learned” English. It’s as natural to me as it is to you.

Ok, like I said your chances are pretty high (In my opinion), hope to see you in New Haven, if I get in :D

I’d also say you have a good chance. I hope your essays are good :)
