So...... Chance me at

The 8 ivies
Duke
Stanford
UNC-CH
Wake Forest
Davidson
UChicago
UC Berk/LA
VCU
Swarthmore...

and please be honest :) (If I have forgotten any important information please ask for it and I'll reply as quickly as possible)

Oh and I’m sure I will get great Recs and I will write decent essays.

Someone please chance me?

You have good chances everwhere if you improve your SAT I score and you get good Subject Test scores. Only your race holds you back much. (Not much you can do about that though.)

Good luck.

firstly, please ignore my only having posted twice. i’ve been here browsing for quite some time now, just that i didn’t have anything to ‘respond’ to.

with regards to skipping a grade - it matters, but just slightly. you know, they’d be all concerned with the social adaptation stuff. but given the frequency of such grade-skippers, i wouldn’t think that to be much of a problem for the ivies. besides, that was still elementary school, that’s okay.

you have a good mix of ECs, i think that’ll put you in a good place.

One thing, though: do you have any internships? i don’t seem to see any, but pardon me if i missed it.

VCU = duh
Chapel Hill, Davidson, Wake Forest = in
UChicago, UCB, UCLA, Duke = good-great chance
Swarthmore, Stanford, ivies-minus-HYP = unpredictable, but good chance
ivies - HYP = slight chance

hope i helped!

Thanks guys. No I don’t have any internship experience but I hope to get some this summer

Anyone else por favor?

I would just work on your SAT score. Other than that, you are fine. As far as internships go…for a high schooler? That’s definitely not something required to get you into those schools.

Duke - reach
Stanford - high reach
UNC-CH - in
Wake Forest - in
Davidson - in
UChicago - reach (was for me, too, but you can do it!)
UC Berk/LA - ?
VCU - safety
Swarthmore - ?

Thanks you two
