Chance a friend for BU's BA/MD program

So one of my friends is extremely interested in Boston University's BA/MD program, because it fits everything she wants out of a college experience, and, of course, she also wants to become a doctor. This is currently her top choice and she's very curious as to where she stands, because she really wants to be admitted (then again, who doesn't?). I won't post too many details, just the important things.

Personal Information:

Race: Korean
Gender: Female
Class Year: 2015
State: CA
Hook: Low-income
Special Circumstances: Lived in China during 1st semester of 9th grade; proficient in Mandarin (reading/writing ability somewhat limited though)

Academic Information:

Unweighted GPA: 4.0
SAT Reasoning: 2310
Class Rank: 1 out of 8 (tied with me... yes, our school is tiny)
SAT II: 740 Literature, 650 Math II, 630 Chemistry
Significant Extracurriculars: Varsity sport (9-12; captain 12), church youth group (9-12), student council (9-12; class president 11, class VP 12), media production club (10-12?), yearbook (11-12), community service club (9-12), held job working at a cafe over the summer
Major Awards: National Merit Commended, National History Day State Finalist, a couple of school subject awards

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, by the way...

Forgot to mention that she also shadowed a surgeon over the summer.

While she should definitely give it a shot as she has a stellar GPA/SAT, her SAT subject tests are very much on the low side as the Math 2 and Chemistry scores are pretty important. In addition, she probably doesn’t have enough medical ECs.

I would recommend she shoot for a very good general pre-med school and get the necessary grades/ECs there to ultimately get into med school.

that 1 out of 8 made me lol.

Ha, yeah, we’re definitely a small school ;)
