Chance a girl with yikes scores?

Senior year is here and college apps literally have me SHOOK. I have a couple schools I know Im getting into but there a couple reach schools. Put this in the wrong board at first, sorry if anybody gets annoyed at that.
So I have a few ehh reaches and a few really???you think u got a chance? lmao nah reaches; UF, Fordham, Emory, Bowdoin, Wake Forrest. Any schools that are good in bio you guys think I stand a chance at i

ALSO
I also failed a algebra 2 class last year. I retook it online and got an A but it still will show up in my transcripts. This and my low leadership positions and low awards really scare me.

I think you would have a chance at UCONN! They have an excellent animal science and pre-vet program. I know people who go there with similar stats to yours, so I think you would get in. Also, CT has the northern weather you are looking for, plus an awesome women’s basketball team LOL.

AND UConn takes AP credit!

@aellos
The 30 ACT is good, I’m not sure if your hook is strong enough. Bowdoin and Wake are Test optional
UF, Fordham- Safety
Bowdoin, Wake- Match/High Match
Emory- Reach

@daddy538 Thanks so much for the UCONN suggestion! I`ll look into it! would the failure matter a bunch even if I retook it? My guidance lied and said it would be off my transcripts which was def not true so :confused:

@emorynavy thanks so much! This is going to sound dumb but what`s the difference between match/ high match? is high match like closer to a reach?

You would get a great scholarship at Kansas State and they have a great vet school and pre vet program. They also have an early admit program that is very good! It isn’t flat there and it is in a fun college town!

For a reach try Purdue and their early admit program.

First off your scores aren’t really yikey. A 30 is solid, it’s a little low for Emory and Bowdoin but in their range.

What kind of college are you looking for? Your list of UF(public) , Fordham (Bronx), Bowdoin (rural Maine LAC), Emory, Wake Forest are pretty different. You have public unis, lac, private research etc… If you have some idea on what kind of campus and learning style you’re looking for, that would help.

@aellos
Yes closer to Reach, Bowdoin is the High Match, Wake is the Match

@theloniusmonk I honestly have no clue what I`m looking for. I want a little north, hence the northern schools, in the bronx I have a friend and emory my best friend may go there and I liked it enough to maybe apply. For emory and bowdoin they just to see if I maybe can get in, not entirely sure if I will even attempt to apply.

I would prefer a private school, but with me money is a problem so I would be totally fine with uf (save that cash money + get some relationships with vet people there). I`m all over the place sorry agh.

also! what did you mean by learning style? Like class size or like more hands on vs more looking at power points. I can learn with both but I lean more to a smaller class size. Like I said before I can do well in big class sizes, I just personally like knowing the teacher a little better. But hey, isnt that what afterhours are for?

Can I suggest Michigan State? Well known for its Vet program. I think you’d at least be competitive with those scores, although I feel like everything might be upped a little bit for the Vet program. It’s also up north. Although, money end up being a problem if you decide there. I’m an in-stater and I really don’t think they’ll give me much.

I would say UC Davis, but I believe the deadline was last week, sorry. I hear they’re one of the top vet schools in the US, stats aren’t that hard to get in, and I live nearby, and I don’t feel like it gets that cold, but my cousin from Southern California came up and claims it’s freezing ?. I’d definitely say it’s colder than Florida, though.
