applying ED to CAS
Thanks!

Apply early and I like your chances much more than I liked mine…i’ll be Pratt '14. (I had a very similar list with varsity athletics and museum internships - minus all the science fair awards/research with slightly more community service).

Increase your board scores (they definitely won’t keep you out, 32 is good, but a 34-35 is great and would really put you over the top - think slam dunk, IMHO), keep working hard, write some stellar essays (come fall really refine these-they matter more than people think when Duke assesses you not only as a person but whether or not you’re a fit for their community), and you’re very qualified in my book.

Good luck!

Thanks! I really hope I get in.

Btw, do you think applying ED to CAS instead of Pratt will hurt me because my ec’s are research? I would just prefer to be in a broader program?

I think your chances are great. Make sure the people who write your references put something personal in so Duke thinks you will be a real asset to the campus as well as a good student. I think that helped me.

I agree with Connor and catherine; I can’t see you not getting in. Good Luck!

thanks for the chances, being so far away it is still stressfull
