Chance a lazy bro with a lot of potential

GPA: 3.52 UW. Ik, pretty bad compared to people on this website and I could’ve tried harder.
However, Sophomore year I took AP Music Theroy (4), Junior year I took AP Chem and AP US
And Senior I’m taking AP Calc AB, AP Physics B, AP Spanish

ACT: 34 (E34 M35 R33 S34) one sitting in February

ECs:
Volunteer Abulence Core
Varsity Football
Jazz Band (President)
SHARE (executive)
AAPA (executive)
Certified Lifeguard

Wanna know my chances for a lot of different schools; some small some big.
Vandy (I’m debating ED)
USC
UT Austin
UW Madison
Boston College
Lafayette
Colgate
Colorado College
Bucknell
Tulane
Penn State
Union
Gettysburg

Anything would be appreciated thanks

If you are not a TX resident, I’d scratch UT from the list. They have a statutory obligation to admit the top 7% of students from every high school in the state, and have few slots left over once they’ve fielded their sports teams and accepted additional high-stat students from in-state (ie. top-10% at competitive, affluent schools, or students from private schools). Vandy’s definitely a reach, but the 34 is definitely within their range and they like high scores. ED is probably the way to go. The rest of your list is eclectic, but balanced. May we presume that money is not a major consideration? Have you visited, or at least researched, all of the colleges on your list? I am all in favor of applying to a range of schools. I did it, and my younger son did it, but he had visited most of the ones he applied to.

My crystal ball says you’re most likely in at PSU; they like high GPA, but your ACT may offset that. Consider applying for Schreyer.

@woogzmama as a PA residen t have visted some of the places I want to apply to that are driving distance (Union Colgate Bucknell Lafayette Gberg PSU BC and Vandy). I’m doing a program at UT this summer, and the others I’m looking at over the summer/next fall also

I definatley want to get out to USC and CC before applying

Apply wherever you want to go, but I hope you have your safety schools. Actually your GPA is low for the schools you mentioned, but your ACT is strong. The most difficult of your list are USC, UT Austin, and Vanderbilt. You still have a chance. Are you going to take any Subject tests?

I took Math 2 and Chem a couple of weeks ago. If I don’t get 740+ I’ll retake in September

I am not sure if you are trying to say Oct. anyway good luck!

Thanks man, yeah a lot of matches turned into safeties after my act (Tulane Gettysburg Penn State)

I’m not sure you can call Tulane a true safety, but my son got in with lower stats than yours (no $$, though). I recommend taking advantage of their non-binding Early Action option. You will get a decision, with notification of any merit award, by Thanksgiving.
