Chance a low GPA, high test scores for Ivies

I agree with the posters who say that your chances for Ivy admission are low due to the grades. Not impossible. You are one that the perfect essay could help.

As far as legacies… for Harvard, only if your parent(s) graduated from Harvard College. No grad school for legacy consideration.

LOLOLOLOL I can’t believe all you guys got trolled. These stats are fake. I cross-referenced the 11th graders in California who were 2011 USAMO qualifiers and 2011 USAPhO semifinalists, and there were only 4 overlaps, 3 of whom were Chinese. The remaining guy, Robi Bhattacharjee, does not fit this poster’s description. An article on him I found on Google reports that he attended middle school. I knew this was a ■■■■■ post right when I read it. I can’t believe you guys fell for it…

omg…i feel like a fool now…i thought i had found a true genius slacker…lolololololololol

^ You should have known better! He reported that he got a A- in USH in the third quarter, yet miraculously managed to pull it up to an A+ overall for second semester… now I know there’s such thing as extra credit, but even then, what are the chances of that happening?? Also, as somebody who has ACTUALLY taken the NACLO, there is no such thing as a NACLO semifinalist. If you score highly enough, you are invited to take what are called the NACLO invitationals.

Word to the wise: do your research before you ■■■■■ if you actually want to convince everyone…

EDIT: How the heck do you get a 5 on the APUSH exam after nearly failing the class and subsequently dropping it? That should have been a red flag as well.
