^^^^^I have letters of verification/recommendations from all these places, and will send it in with my application.

Please be honest..................

THOUSANDS OF KIDS WITH BETTER EC'S, BETTER CLASS RANKS, BETTER SAT SCORES WILL BE APPLYING..........What are my chances?

Any opinons at all?

Your GPA, ranking, and standardized testing are decent but not outstanding.
You are Asian-American.

You will need extraordinary essays.

^^^^^^^^Thanks for the insight into Columbia's application process........

Do you know if my dad working for columbia as a senior computer administrator for 4 years helps my application????? He doesn't work there anymore because we moved to Texas, but does it help at all?????

My cousin graduated from Columbia's Law School, would that help at all?.............She graduated this past year...................

Any other thoughts?............

Um, wow---punctuation explosion, haha.

I'm guessing you're applying RD, in which case, is going to be rough. From ED to RD, the acceptance rate dropped from ~22% to... 7%-ish.

If it makes you feel better, your SAT scores and EC's look better than mine... out of curiosity, how have you done on your SAT II's?

^^^^^^Thanks for the insight.............I am applying RD, already applied ED to Rice University(I feel this school is going to reject me because I live in Texas)..............

On the Sat Subject Tests

Math 1 - 730
U.S. History- 750

My class rank is a big problem too, my gpa is 93.4 (weighted) and a 3.8 (unweighted) and I am only in the top 20 percent.............schools should look more at test scores because they are the same for everyone.......If I had gone to a less compeitive school, I could have been in top 10 percent.....

your dad may help a little--your law school cousin won't.
