<p>Hello. I am an Asian male from a top 20 school (newsweek) that sends many kids to top universities.</p>

<p>Freshman-sophmore gpa.
UW gpa: 3.66
W gpa:3.91
should bascially stay the same by the end of this year.</p>

<p>School does not rank</p>

<p>SAT: m-720; cr-700; w-700= 2120
i retook in june and i am hoping for at least a 2200</p>

<p>ACT: 29, retook in june hoping for at least a 30</p>

<p>SAT2s: bio 730, chem 670(><), taking us and 2c next year</p>

<p>Courseload is pretty hard taking all accelerated classes and 5 APs at the end of junior year: Euro, Comp, Stat, US, Bio</p>

<p>Senior Schedule:
A.P. Literature (might drop)
A.P. Calculus AB
A.P. Physics
A.P. Economics (micro/macro)
A.P. U.S. Government </p>

<p>ECS:
-Varsity Cross Country 11,12
-Varsity Fencing 9-12
-JV volleyball: 9-10, injured 11, varsity 12</p>

<p>-Many various clubs but no real leadership positions besides a few minor roles as secretary.</p>

<p>-I am a junior fire fighter, and undergoing rigorous training to join the department this summer.
-I am a camp counselor for mentally challenged kids and adults and volunteer at the organization.
-Heavily involved with a charity that uses music to raise funds to help the needy.
-Volunteer at a local hospital and take care of the elderly.
-Youth group president for two years and have gone to Mexico to establish a vacation bible school for two summers</p>

<p>-I worked at a grocery as a cashier -> manager during my freshman and sophomore summer.
-I am planning to possibly intern with NBC this summer.(marketing) or just getting a job</p>

<p>No really prestigious awards.</p>

<p>My recommendation letters should be decent and my essays should be good.</p>

<p>I am not really sure about my chances at some top schools.

<p>Wow fellow newyorka, you need some match and safety schools. Every school on your list except for NYU is a reach with several being unrealistic reaches.</p>

<p>Did you go to Mexico and establish the school on your own or did you volunteer? Because if its the former, thats pretty impressive.</p>

<p>yeah well over the 2 years we (my youth group) established a vacation bible school that now runs through teachers who are living in Mexico. The teaches them the gospel and allows the kids to have fun. we have now stopped going this yea but we send supplies and other funds.</p>

-my school has been getting lots of oos uc admits
-my michigan uw gpa would be in the high 3.8-9
-and my school gets tons of cornell and michigan admits with stats just a little bit better than mine. round 3.7 gpas</p>

<p>I think that UMichigan is more of a match for you, and NYU will probably let you in. But I agree with newyorka, definitely put some of the SUNYs (like Stony Brook) up there as safeties.</p>

<p>If you want to go to Cornell you have a very solid chance of getting in if you apply early</p>
