Just wanted to know what you guys think of my chances to get into these schools. Im very Reach-Heavy, but I figured Id give it a shot since I have Eagle Scout as a decent 'hook", and slightly decent academics.
Thanks a lot

No chance at UNCCH. UMich is a reach. Everything else looks doable.

anybody else got anything?

bump bumpppp

UMD - Slight Reach
PSU - Safe Match
SUNY Binghamton - Safe Match
SUNY Albany - Safety

UNC-no way
Umich- Slight reach
Everything else are safeties.

you should apply to more reach schools... maybe BC or BU

i was thinking that i should apply to more safeties. Im also not sure i could go to private schools like BC or BU due to some money issues. ANyone else?

bump......

Do you know what your major is going to be? I am asking because depending on what you want to study, the other SUNYs that are not on your list have some really good programs (e.g. SUNY ESF @ Syracuse).

well I am trying to major in business (not sure exactly what specific field, maybe marketing). Im pretty sure that out of the SUNYs, Binghamton and Albany have the best business prgrams. Anyone else?

UMich wouldn't be a reach if you were in-state, but you might have a hard time getting in. If you haven't applied yet, though, do--they only charge $35

Penn State is sort of hard to get into, and I don't know about the rest of them.

Post back if you get into SUNY Binghamton, though. I was thinking of applying there.

I didnt know that penn state would be that hard?
ANyone else?

bump.............

not sure if you heard back from any schools yet. My son has an extremely close match to your stats. He applied only to SUNY Schools ( money issue). He has been accepted into Albany, StonyBrook and has been deferred for Bing. They want to see his mid year grades which he expects to be around 93-95. Still with these grades I still don't think he will get into Bing. He applied Early Action to each school. I sent in the deposit(refundable) for Albany so we can start to get the ball rolling.

Good luck
