My Essay (650 words) - It was about how I plan/coordinate parties for special education students, with the help of NHS volunteers at my school. Most ppl said the essay was pretty emotional/touching/uplifting.

Looks good. Seems to be that you are at the point where anything could happen. Solid scores, good recs, and a "touching" essay--I think you should get into Duke, Cornell, Nwestern, and Emory, but the others may be a stretch (but, what do I know). I just got a likely letter from Duke with similar stats.

2350 (CR: 800, M: 780, W: 770), top 5 percent of Phillips Academy (largely considered the best prep school in the nation.. haha Exeter..), and a generally difficult courseload--AP Physics, Multivariable Calculus, AP English Lit, Organic Chemistry, AP Macro and Micro, and Art (haha, my requirement to graduate, but actually my hardest class as I am a terrible artist).

Best of luck to you.

You have a great shot at the above mentioned (by cubbies), and possibly above average for the rest (which are reaches for almost anyone).

I was accepted to duke (international student with financial aid) [I know that as I am a finalist for the university scholar thingy]

My stats (inferior to the above poster when it comes to standardized testing and nature of high school ) can be found at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/470087-should-i-take-risk-gamble.html

I did this just off of your scores and GPA, I wish I had your scores...many of these might be a reach...

wait...how did u know im korean, and a better queston, how did u know i live in DFW?! woahhhh what the heckk lol. i didn't even mentino i was from texas...

it says in your first chances thread:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/412765-chance-me-yale-stanford-upenn-cornell-etc.html

I know cause I live in DFW ^^, and there are not many people who want to go to SMU who don't live in Texas...but most of all UTA already accepted you..and what give it totally away is your 'Texan of the Month' award...yeah...I bet your from CA with that award...
But I'm (half) asian, and I know DFW like the back of my hand...and I know that most people from DFW are either Korean, Viet, Chinese, or Indian.
What gave away your Korean is you screen name...lee...Chinese spell it 'li', viets spell it 'le' (which its not even pronounced like yours), and I've known so many 'lee's and 'yi's .
Most Koreans in Texas come to DFW, and Korean people also like to name their kid 'john'...I've met so many Korean 'John's...I'm not even kidding...

edit: and before you freak out again... I assumed your name was john from your screen name...

johnlee24--did you end up getting into duke?
