I think you are a strong candidate everywhere except Princeton. Probably you were deferred at Chicago because of questions of fit or quality of essays, because everything else is great.

hey im from northen nj too (and i'm also middle eastern, lol)...and i have the same SAT score as you....and i'm the val at my school too....weird lol

i agree with the post above, you're good everywhere except p-ton

penn is still a reach though since its an ivy
jhu and duke are matches/low reaches
vandy is match

Hey I'm also from north NJ and getting out! And the first time I took the SATs i got the same exact scores as you, in all three sections. thats so weird. And BicycleKick, too.
W&M, UVA, UNC- very likely in, given your crazy gpa
vandy- in
JHU- match
TCNJ- in times ten. probably full scholarship
Duke- hmm, if i knew I wouldn't be asking for people to chance me there. Probably match.
UPenn and Princeton- eww i don't want to think about ivy admission
UChicago: send in new scores! If they didn't reject you outright with a 2080, you can probably get in (their average scores are way way up there)

In at all but Princeton which is just a complete crapshoot b/c of numbers. Word to the wise; these are very different institutions and you will prob have your choice from several. Look deep inside and figure what makes you happy and choose your school accordingly. Nothing would be worse than going to Penn when you would love the Nashville music scene with Vanderbilt. Or dealing with the UVa/UNC greek scene when you would rather be discussing meaning of life at Chicago. Or vice versa. To thine own self be true.

I'd say you're gonna get rejected from all of them...better add a county college or two to be safe. BTW Bloustein Scholar..thats big time, got my letter in the mail yesturday as well.
Haha Deferrrrrrred CLUBBBB

Your application is quite comprehensive, and so is your list of colleges. Your GPA and Courseload is phenomenal. Having a 4.0 GPA with eight APs is no joke, and it either means that your school is extremely easy or you are a very dedicated student. I'm inclined to think the latter.

Looking at your achievements, the USAMO is duly noted. Only a few hundred American student even qualify for the USAMO every year, so by just by putting that on the list, you signify that you are probably in the top one percent of math students, if not better, in the nation. Volunteer hours look very complete and extensive, and your involvement with Karate would clearly show through the application.

You even managed, on top of your achievements, to squeeze in more extracurriculars including two varsity sports. Based on your busyness, academics, and extracurriculars, I think you are overall a great applicant.

The only chink in the armor that I see in your application for ivy league schools is your SAT. While your score will qualify for most Ivy colleges, it is only all too average in the competitiveness of ivy league applicants. Otherwise, your ECs shine, your activities show dedication, your GPA and Courseload are fantastic, and you even managed to have to have two jobs while at it.

I think you are a wonderfully motivated student and your application is extremely strong for most schools on your list, and slightly less so for Ivies.

You have a great chance in your schools:
-William & Mary-Match
-UVA-Match
-JHU-High Match
-Duke-Low Reach/ High Match
-Princeton- Reach
-Vanderbilt- Match
-UChicago (deferred EA)- Low Reach (High match maybe)
-UPenn- Reach
-The College of New Jersey-Match
