**** SO, Give me what school's you think i would be good with as Safeties, Matches, and Reaches. Im EXTREMELY interested in Georgetown and Cornell, even though i know those would never happen and are laughable at even thinking about. Im also really interested in UVa, UNC-CH, USC, UF and UConn but i know even those are laughable. *****

I think you have a good shot at any of the schools youve listed. Youre obviously a good student and have wonderful EC’s… if you write some good essays, and DO WELL ON THE SATS/ACTS then youll have a great shot imo:)

Yeah I agree. I think that doing well on the SATs/ACTs will be CRITICAL. For Gtown and Cornell shoot for 2150/2200+. That would help a ton. In the end, tho, a 2000+ would be great. You do have a good URM hook, and the fact that you are partially deaf could be a nice essay topic. The rest of the schools u should get into. Although UVA could be tough because it’s out of state. Why are you applying to a ton of state schools lol? State schools that are OUT of state???

yea, what about UMD ?
also, i agree you have a hook there with your ethnicity
i think you have a solid shot at all of them, higher SATS for top 2 :)

ns89; Thanks yeah i have two easy essay topics; my foreign exchange living in italy and being partially deaf i think are good… i think i should do PRETTY well on the SAT’s im just extremely stressing over them, and they do a verbal portion to right? i dont know i feel that may be hard for me ill have to talk to them about it when i get there or something i have no clue…

dreamsofivy; Yeah im really hoping i do awesome on the SAT’s because it would be awesome if i could even think of applying to those schools haha. UVA yeah is tough, and if i go there i’m in the process of talking to the cheerleading coach at the moment… I’m applying to alot of state schools because those are what appeal to me naturally, and USC is a private school

ns89; UMD never appealed to me, im ALWAYS there, my brother’s transfering there, i know i have a HIGHHHH chance of getting in with my mother having her professional degree from there and stuff, just in general im there too much to want to be there all the time. ALOT of my school goes there and i know theres alot of people but i want to be somewhere, where i know mostly no one.

Ok yea those seem like good topics IMO, spec if you write them well! oh yea, that could be a problem, yea maybe even call them and see if they have any special options for you :)

hehe ok, well thats a fair enough reason:) I know what you mean exactly, I moved from Sweden to the US, I like exploring a new place on my own and not having the comfort of old friends/family, because it forces you to become more independent and its a good thing to be :)

good luck!

Yeah, thanks for that thought ill contact them. The colleges im looking at i have to check if they have assistance, because i don’t wear a hearing aid the way the amplify the sound is way, stressing they pick up like everything.

Your from sweden? Yeah my father moved here from Brazil. I love new places to explore which is why i went to italy. haha

Thank you!

hehe yea i bet that would be annoying :stuck_out_tongue: id want one that could hear peoples thoughts though… :stuck_out_tongue: haha

yup  or im born and raised actually, and my parents are from india  so im like an ethnic freak :stuck_out_tongue: haha! but its good imo  seen a lot of different cultures and places in the world as my parents love to travel + have family in different places so ^^
yea, its awesome, just so liberating :D

no problem! :)

it is i tested one out and it gets REALLY annoying

wow thats alot

B. U. M. P.

I’m freakin outt, haha should I apply to UVA ED I you think?

You’re rank might hurt you for Georgetown and Cornell, but URM might help out. You’re ECs in athletics seem good, and GPA is pretty good. If you truly like UVA, do ED.

Yeah i figured rank would kill me, thanks though. I think i’ll apply UVA or USC ED depending which campus i like better

bumppppppppp

hcsdfghjk?

I think you’ve got a good shot with UVA and you should definitely apply. same goes with USC UNC, UF, and UConn, altho I agree- Georgetown and cornell might be a bit of long shot. your unique italy experience and loads of ECs give you some pretty good advantages tho- use them! and good luck :)
